Print mini sized patterns for comparing and adjusting your Apostrophe patterns
Printing a miniature pattern can be a quick method to compare versions of your Apostrophe custom fit patterns, to see differences and determine what measurement changes you want to make. Topstitching a Waistband
When the MyFit Joggers released, a common question in the Apostrophe Patterns FB Group was how to topstitch an separate encased elastic waistband. (Image from MyFit Jogger waistband selection screen.) Topstitching a waistband is aesthetically pleasing, but is also practical and useful. Elastic can twist inside a waistband, which causes discomfort and can affect the way your garment sits on your body. Topstitching the waistband prevents the elastic from twisting, and therefore, can increase comfort. MyFit Leggings to Bell Bottoms Method 2
As much as I love the drama of the Full Circle Skirt Bell Bottoms from Method #1, I wanted to experiment a little further with using a quarter circle skirt instead. I used the MyFit Leggings and the Add a Circle Skirt to anything patterns for this tutorial. I started with my daughters measurements and used the capri option so the legging would end just below the knee. Using the MyFit leggings for Bell Bottoms Method 1
I always enjoy finding ways to combine patterns and do mash ups to get new looks. Someone must have mentioned bell bottoms because my mind started working on how I could achieve that look using the patterns here at Apostrophe. I love the MyFit patterns, so I definitely wanted to create the look using the pattern generators. I worked out 2 different methods for 2 different looks.
